Will you help me with posing? I’m not so comfortable in front of the camera and feel awkward.

Let's face it – most of us aren't born models. So, it's absolutely no shocker that most of my clients often confess to feeling a bit camera-shy or convinced that they're the world's most "awkward in front of the lens". But guess what? Those very same people are the ones you'll spot gracing my all-time favorite photos on this website!

Over the years, I've heard one particular piece of feedback more times than I can count: "You made us feel so at ease!" If you're worried about striking the right pose or looking your best in photos, fear not! You're in good hands, and we're going to have a blast capturing your most unforgettable moments.

My pet is part of the family. Do you photograph pets and can I bring my dog?

Yes, absolutely! I love meeting and photographing your pet’s energy and happiness around you and your family. If I am photographing your pet, there is a 99.99% chance I will be rolling around in the grass, running, or making silly sounds. Take a look at a shoot where the family dog stole the spotlight.

How good are you with kids? I want to book a family photoshoot but I am nervous how my toddler, teen, baby, will react.

Photographing families is an excellent opportunity to bond and draw out the natural joy of family time. Every family is a world of its own. I work with each member of your family to make them feel completely comfortable. We will joke, laugh, take breaks, and make sure everyone is having fun. You can count on me making silly faces, and funny noises to bring out those smiles.

What should I wear?

Quick Tip: There's no such thing as overdressing for your portrait session. Go all out and unleash your inner fashionista.

Say Yes to Dresses: Dresses and skirts are your best choice for stunning photos, especially against natural backgrounds. Opt. for flowing fabrics like chiffon or tulle for an enchanting effect.

Fashion Tips for Him: Stick to long, fitted pants and closed-toed shoes for a sophisticated look. Avoid shorts, sandals, and baggy pants. Layers like blazers and coats add depth and interest.

Choosing Colors: Opt. for softer, lighter tones and muted shades to keep the focus on your faces, such as soft pinks, muted blues, heather gray, creams, leather brown, and white.

Prepping Your Family: Coordinate outfits rather than matching for a cohesive yet individual look. Plan dominant and accent colors, and aim to be the best version of yourselves for timeless photos.

Outfit changes: Yes! You can bring one outfit set or two! Most clients who choose two outfits will bring one “wow” dress, and then another slightly more casual dress that has a “date night” feel. Remember, though, you don’t have to bring two looks if it’s too stressful to coordinate or if you’d rather just stick to one fabulous look.

Where will the photoshoot take place?

Where the photoshoot takes place is up to you! In our first conversations, we will work together to design the best possible schedule including the location. I have a few secret spots that I will share with you.

Do you travel and how far?

Yes! I love experiencing new locations. A travel fee of $50 is added when I travel 45 miles outside of Boston.

How do I book a date?

Head on over to my contact page and send me a message with as many details as you can think of! Be sure to completely fill out each space as it helps me to understand what type of session you are looking to book. Once I receive your inquiry, I will respond within 48 business hours. We can then set up a time to get to know one another (in person or FaceTime) and so I can hear more about your photography needs.

Once we’ve talked, to book a date I require a deposit and a signed contract. Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis and a date is not booked until I’ve received the contract and the deposit.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive fully edited high-resolution images via an online gallery. From the gallery you can easily access all of your images right on your smartphone or computer making it super simple to post an image on social media or order prints. The gallery can be made private too, giving you control over who can view or download the images. The online gallery also allows you to order professional quality prints, at reasonable prices.

How long does it take to receive the final gallery?

Fully edited images in a complete gallery are delivered within 3-4 weeks after the session. I always try to get these images to you as soon as possible, but these time frames are in place in case of emergencies.

How much should I expect to pay?

Each photo session is unique. The cost of the photoshoot will depend on the length, location, and event. Don’t be hesitant to reach out with more details about your expectations for your photoshoot so I can better assist you!

When is payment due?

Once you've decided you're ready to book, I will draft up a contract and send it over for signature. Once I receive the completed contract, I will send an invoice for a 50% non-refundable retainer used to secure your spot on my calendar. The retainer is applied to the overall cost and of the session. The remainder is due upon delivery of the final images. Payments can be mailed or paid online by debit/credit card.

Can I add filters to my received photos when posting to social media?

In respect to my work, I ask that you do not alter your images in any way. I work really hard to provide you quality photos you can enjoy for years to come.

Where should I print my images?

I offer a wide range of professional printing options at an additional cost for clients in order to ensure the best quality and color rendering of your memories. However, most clients enjoy the freedom to print their own images. No matter where you choose to print your images, please be aware that one-hour labs and big box store labs are unpredictable and usually will not print accurately. My computer is calibrated to my professional lab's specifications so that anything printed through me will be of the best quality.
